Nothing is more frustrating than receiving printed materials that don't match your expectations. The key to perfect print results? Properly prepared, print-ready files.
File Format Requirements
PDF is King: Always submit final files as high-resolution PDFs. Use PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 standards.
Resolution and Image Quality
For professional printing, images must be at least 300 DPI at the final print size.
Color Mode: CMYK vs RGB
Critical: All files must be in CMYK color mode for printing. RGB colors will shift when converted.
Bleed and Safe Zones
Bleed: Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond trim line.
Safe Zone: Keep important text 0.125" inside trim line.
